Hi Nivedita. I think part of the confusion stems from the fact that we are an evolving publication. For example, what you linked as the homepage is not the homepage but the original concept article from 3 years ago. Our actual homepage can be found at writingcooperative.com.

A lot of what you have read has changed. For example, we no longer offer membership for $3 a month. Our slack channel is now free.
