Thank you so much for writing this Jason. As a 1st generation immigrant, it blows my mind how people are blind to their respective privileges here. Even living in the United States is a privilege most people take for granted.

I’m in a similar situation where my brother has funded me quitting my job and starting a new company here in Dallas. Being gifted a financial safety net to be able to become a founder is the highest form of privilege. I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude, and I’m not going to take it for granted.
